I recently returned from a “Sacred Journey to Egypt.” A trip that provided not only a bucket list tour through many of the incredible sacred sites of the old Kingdom of Egypt, but was also intended to be a journey of consciousness. My intention was to tap into the mystical aspects of many of the places we visited through meditation, activation and other related ceremonies. Our guide was an experienced Quantum Shamanic Healer and, at least for this traveller, she facilitated several profound experiences. Of the many experiences on the trip, there was one that stood out for me. It occurred during three days of camping in the White Sands Desert (part of the Sahara Desert east of Cairo). It felt like an internal conversation with what I call the Divine. The intention I had set for the trip was to find guidance on where my own spiritual journey (journey of consciousness) was headed next.
What follows is the unedited version of this dialogue. I share it with you as a stream of consciousness because that’s exactly what it was. My hope in sharing it with you is that it creates an opening for you. It was a new and beautiful experience to have a conversation in this way.
Me: [Asking for guidance in mediation while sitting against a rock in the desert]
The Divine: “I am calling on you for a deeper surrender”
Me: “Help me understand? I hold the posture of surrender now. I keep surrendering and I am always looking for new ways to surrender. I am constantly looking for attachments to let go of and have transformed my life through being in service to others. How do I deepen it?”
The Divine: “Yes, you have made great progress in surrendering your fears, your beliefs, your need to control and ultimately your old self. You have transformed your life through being in service of others. These were all important steps for you to get healthy and break free of your conditioning, but this is just the surface.”
Me: “I still don’t understand. Is that not the ego death and the beginning of the resurrection? If that is just the surface what is the ocean that resides beneath?”
The Divine: “I am your Divine Father and yet you don’t ask me for anything. Let me ask you this. What would you do for your children? What would you feel if they asked you for help?”
Me: “I would do anything for my children because I love them unconditionally. When they ask me for help it is an opportunity for me to express my love for them and put love into action. My own love grows when I can give it away.”
The Divine: “How am I any different? I am your Divine Father, yet you don’t ask ‘Father what can you do for me? Father, can you help me? Father, I need you. The deepest level of surrender there is to lay yourself totally exposed to me and vulnerable to me and ask for my help. To ask for what you need. To allow me to love you as a father yearns to love his son. To allow that love to flow through us both in co-creation. The ocean beneath the surface is the true frequency of love”
Me: “I feel what you are saying and know it is true. I have been surrendering to others and have learned to ask for help from others, but this is different. This is unconditional trust through unconditional love in everything. It is complete surrender.”
The Divine: “It is what you have been yearning for your entire life. It is what you have been searching for through eternity and it cannot come only from other humans. It can only come through me. Your Divine father.”
Me: “I know it now but there is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. I feel I know what direction to head now”.
The Divine: [Silent]
This was a profound experience that I have only started to integrate but I feel compelled to share it with others. My path of transformation started with surrender and continues with surrender. This is the path of The Way.
